South Asian Project

Background

National Theatre of Scotland vision is to be a Theatre for Everyone.

We have identified that we are yet to engage with South Asian Communities in Scotland on a significant level. To address this gap, we have created a cross department group within National Theatre Scotland and work closely with a South Asian steering group to help progress five key areas of development:

Community Engagement
Audience development
Artist development
Programme development
Career insights/employability

Steering Group

The Steering Group has been engaged to help inform how National Theatre of Scotland may connect with South Asian Communities and artists, now and in the future.

The Steering Group also acts as a consulting soundboard on wider, company-wide, strategic discussions.
