SOUTH ASIAN SCRATCH NIGHT CALL OUT

South Asian Artists in Scotland are seeking proposals from four artists of South Asian heritage to showcase 10–15 minute extracts of new work for their New Sauce Scratch Night at the Citizens Theatre on 8 October 2026. This is a chance for artists to share a new idea and see what works in front of a live audience. All forms of storytelling are welcome – theatre, performance, music, movement, spoken word, comedy, film or something completely different. There are no restrictions on genre or theme; bold, playful, and experimental ideas are encouraged.
Each act will receive:
- £450 flat fee + a 10–15 min slot at New Sauce Scratch Night.
- Tech support on the day
- Professional photography of your live piece
- Audience and peer feedback to elevate your project
Deadlines for applications are 10am on 5 August 2026.
This event is curated and presented by South Asian Artists in Scotland, in association with National Theatre of Scotland and Citizens Theatre.
South Asian Artists in Scotland is a new volunteer grassroots labour of love run by creatives Niloo-Far Khan and Kal Sabir.
