About Peter Kelly
Peter Kelly has been an actor for more than sixty years.
His work in theatre includes seasons at The Citizens, The Birmingham Rep, and The Royal Shakespeare Company.
His London West End appearances include Brothers Karamazov, Master Class, Chips with Everything, Crime and Punishment and The Possessed.
In the 1970s, he worked extensively at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh in new plays by C.P. Taylor (Walter, Allergy and Scenes from Rural life), in Tom McGrath’s Animal, The Android Circuit and, as the Jimmy Boyle-based character, in The Hardman which toured the whole of the UK., returned three times to Edinburgh, and had its final run at the Glasgow Pavilion.
He was pantomime dame five times at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow, and appeared all over Scotland in Archie Hind’s I am a Cabaret.
His television work includes Minder, A Touch of Frost, Eastenders - and a couple of villains in Taggart.
His most recent work has been with Vanishing Point - and he’s an associate of the company. He has toured with their productions of Interiors and Tomorrow to Rome, Buenos Aires, Moscow, Santiago, Sao Paolo, Beijing, Shanghai and Soeul.
