Lucy Duncombe
About Lucy Duncombe
Graduating from The Glasgow School of Art in 2010, Lucy is an artist and musician who places the voice at the centre of her practice.
Grounded in research, her work encompasses performance and recorded sound, technological augmentation, narrative and essay writing and composition.
She is currently recording an album, Pop Ago, for release in 2020 (12th Isle Records) and collaborating on a new suite of work with electronic artist, Ailie Ormston.
Lucy is interested in the ways in which transposition of the voice onto machinic technologies can disrupt its relationship to the body and its claims for recognition, dispersing the voice across multiple temporalities, objects and simulated spaces.
