Louise McCarthy is a Scottish actress, writer and producer known for her work across television, theatre and film.
Her television credits include Queen of the New Year, The Scotts, Stevens & McCarthy, Scot Squad, Only an Excuse? and Squire & McGill(BBC Scotland/Comedy Unit), as well as Dog Squad, Stacey Stone and Raptures(CBBC), Sketchland and What’s Funny About the Indyref?(BBC Scotland), Two Doors Down (BBC) and the ITV dramaIn Plain Sight.
Her theatre credits include Wild Rose, directed by John Tiffany (Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh); Orphans, Yer Granny, Men Should Weep and My Left/Right Foot: The Musical(National Theatre of Scotland); Tony Roper’s The Steamie(SSE Hydro); and Mamma Mia! in the West End (Prince of Wales Theatre, London).
