The Swing Technician will assist the Production team with the fit-up of the set and technical equipment of Through the Shortbread Tin performing at the Edinburgh Fringe and tour. They will work alongside the NTS core staff technical team, Production team, Director, Artists and Stage Management to deliver the highest possible production values throughout the project.


Contract is for 7 weeks at a rate of £624.18pw. Commencing on Monday 3 Aug through to Sunday 20 Sept.


Edinburgh run based at Scottish Storytelling Centre, call time 3pm to 7pm on performance days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the rigging/de-rigging of stage equipment
  • Assist the Production Manager & Technical Manager with other technical aspects of the production
  • Should any instances arise where either sound or lights require an operator, the Technical Swing should be ready to step into these roles
