About Soapbox
Raw. Undiluted. Absolutely unapologetic. Soapbox are a band on the precipice.
Formed in Glasgow in 2022, the four-piece have built their reputation the old-fashioned way: through explosive live shows where anything can happen. Led by their incendiary frontman Tom Rowan, they confront audiences, call out uncomfortable truths and spark riotous camaraderie in a way that few bands can. In other words, they are punk to the very core.
Their sound is as ferocious as their live reputation, drawing from modern punk stalwarts like Amyl & The Sniffers, SOFT PLAY and Viagra Boys, while nodding to icons like The Damned, The Dirts and Subhumans. Soapbox fuse snarling punk attitude with their own raw, muscular edge and unmistakable Glaswegian grit.
And they do not muddy their message. Whether they’re taking aim at the privatisation of public transport, greedy energy companies or fascist thugs, their message is simple. It's angry, it's relatable, and it's effective.
So far, they’ve toured with Meryl Streek, SNAYX, Dead Pony and Kid Kapichi; sold out the iconic King Tuts twice over, headlined St Lukes as part of TENEMENT TRAIL, and made their mark at TRNSMT Festival, Pukkelpop and Lowlands Festival. And with two blistering EPs to their name in ‘HAWD THAT’ (2024) and ‘LOCK IN’ (2025), the four-piece get heavier, sharper and bolder with each release.
