About Katrine Turner
Katrine Turner is an artist from Glasgow working across contemporary performance and socially engaged practice. With a background in devised performance, installation and participatory projects, her creative output often focuses on systems, crisis and excess. She creates work for both theatre and non-theatre spaces and is interested in immersive ways that live performance can interact with our daily lives.
Katrine regularly collaborates with children and young people and has led co-creation projects for Imaginate, Cove Park, Stellar Quines and Platform among others. Her performance work has been programmed by Summerhall, Tramway, Camden People’s Theatre and English Theatre Berlin. In 2023, she was awarded the Autopsy Award for The Alternative Helpline for the End of the World. Most recently, Katrine was Rig Arts’ Climate Artist in Residence working on a new interactive performance for primary schools about waste colonialism.
