About James McNulty
James McNulty is a recovering playwright from Kilmarnock. In previous decades, he was a member of the young writer programmes at Scottish Youth Theatre and Royal Court Theatre, London, and twice received the Scottish Arts Council Drama Bursary. James has had work performed at the Old Athenaeum Theatre, RSAMD, the Arches Theatre in Glasgow, the Alabama Short Plays Festival, the Alliance Francaise in Zambia and Queensland Civic Theatre, and had his short play 'Red Road' performed as part of the Tron Theatre's Commonwealth Games cultural programme in 2014. James is a graduate of BBC Radio Drama's Writer's Lab, and more recently worked with Short Attention Span Theatre on shows performed in Glasgow and Ayr in 2023.
