About Hannah Low
Hannah is a Chinese / Scottish writer, actor and dramaturg based in Edinburgh Scotland, who graduated in 2019 with a First Class BA(hons) degree in Musical Theatre.
Most recently, she has been commissioned by the Traverse Theatre and Wonder Fools as part of Positive Stories for Negative Times season 4, and by F–Bomb Theatre for Monumental, which will be part of the Edinburgh 900 celebration. Hannah makes vibrant, narrative-led, interdisciplinary work for stage. Her projects in development are currently supported by Vanishing Point, Imaginate, andPlaywrights’ Studio Scotland, with funding from Creative Scotland.
Since graduating, Hannah has been part of Traverse Theatre’sCreating Spaces and Traverse Young Writers programmes and was a recipient of Vanishing PointsEveryone is Creative grant. She was also selected for Framework Theatre’s Home: A Project for New Writers and was a 2024 mentored playwright with Playwrights’ Studio Scotland.
As an actor Hannah has worked with a variety of different organisations across the UK, including Netflix, BBC Scotland, The Royal Lyceum Edinburgh, and Mirrorball films.
