About Andrea Ling
Andrea is an interdisciplinary artist: a director, writer and dramaturg working across theatre, installation and visual arts. Andrea’s Bolivian-Chinese heritage influences her personal work, which explores the intersection of culture, capitalism, colonialism and ecology. In 2021, Andrea won the Jerwood Live Work Award and founded Pacha People, an arts company dedicated to co-curated and co-created work within communities to incite change. In 2023, Andrea won the Genesis Future Director’s Award with the Young Vic Theatre. As both a director and dramaturg, Andrea is passionate about championing new work. She specialises in devising, supporting writers, and is excited by experimental forms, advocacy, and plays that take us to uncharted places.
