About Alisa Kalyanova
Alisa is a freelance theatre designer based in Glasgow. She studied Visual Communication at the Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavik before training in Set and Costume Design at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. Upon graduation she received The John Groves Technical Award for overall achievement. She is an Associate Artist at Brite Theatre company.
National Theatre of Scotland work includes The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Costume design). Other work includes Julius Caesar (Company of Wolves); hang, The Mistress Contract (Tron Theatre); Chaos (Perth Theatre); Robin Hood (Cumbernauld Theatre), Perkin Warbeck: A Masque of Anamnesis, Attempts on her Life, The Pool of Bethesda (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland); Jamie and the Unicorn, Meet Jan Black, The Scunner That Stole Christmas (Ayr Gaiety); Deliverance (as creative collaborator, Brite Theatre and Vanishing point); The Lost Elves, Lampedusa (Wonder Fools); Humbug! (Citizens Theatre); The Trojans (Platform); Figaro,The Merry Widow (Opera Bohemia); Wendy and Peter Pan (Giggleswick School).
