Alex Medland is an award-winning playwright from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Her last play ‘We’re Gonna Kill Billy’ recently won The Adam New Zealand Play Award and was shortlisted for The Woman’s Prize for Playwriting, and long listed for The Bruntwood Prize. She is one of the founding members of Half Trick Theatre, an Edinburgh-based company dedicated to making irreverent reinventions of untouchable classics.
