Five Minute Theatre | The Great Yes, No, Don't Know Five Minute Theatre Show

June 2014

Overview

CREATED BY ANYONE, FOR AN AUDIENCE OF EVERYONE.

Performed at various locations across Scotland, the UK, the world and the web over 24 hours in June 2014

David Greig (The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, Dunsinane) and David MacLennan (A Play, A Pie and A Pint series at Òran Mór), joined forces to curate The Great Yes, No, Don’t Know, Five Minute Theatre Show, a one day event, filled with micro theatre shows, all performed in front of live audiences and providing hundreds of answers to one very important question – a democratic dramatic response to the theme of ‘Independence’.

Sadly, David MacLennan, one of the co-curators, alongside David Greig, of The Great Yes, No, Don’t Know, Five Minute Theatre Show, passed away on Friday 13 June 2014. The project will proceed as planned and will feature some of David’s final pieces of writing, as well as his curatorial stamp. We hope, in a small way, that it will be a fitting acknowledgement of his enormous contribution to theatre in Scotland and beyond. He will be much missed.
