Creative Career: Insights cater for both S1-S2 and S3-S6 students, and introduce them to the myriad of possibilities in the Creative Industries.
Our passion lies in cultivating awareness and inspiration among the next generation of creatives. Through Creative Careers: Insights we shed light on the actual responsibilities of roles, demystify job titles, and providing a glimpse into our day-to-day activities. The practical workshop will concentrate on a wide array of skills necessary for various roles at NTS. From creating marketing plans to developing community engagement programs, we strive to broaden your knowledge of the creative industries beyond just being on stage.
Sessions don't focus on performance/acting roles, but instead on the many behind the scenes posts such as producing, artistic development, audience and media (sales, marketing and communications), finance, and various technical roles which allows the sessions to be accessible for pupils who do not study drama, or have no theatre experience, as well as those who do.
To register your school's interest, fill in the online booking form below.
Creative Careers: Insights will resonate with teachers and pupils alike, but don’t just take our word for it, here's some feedback from previous participants:
“I loved hearing about all the financial side of things and how it works, never even thought of that before,”
Pupil, Garnock Academy
“It was great seeing how pupils didn’t just stick with their friends in the workshop, they really did work together in the various roles,” Teacher, Garnock Academy
“Great careers advice and introduction to departments and roles many pupils may not have known about before hand, as well as chance to discuss the skills needed,”
Teacher, Cumbernauld Academy
“I feel I actual have some skills that I could use in departments and roles that I wasn’t even familiar with,” Pupil, Bearsden Academy
As we expect demand to be high for this limited offer, we will select schools within a commutable distance to our venue, that collectively provide a geographic spread. We aim to reach a range of pupils who may have limited access to arts and cultural opportunities due to economic, social or geographical barriers. We will book schools taking all these factors into account, rather than on a first-come, first-served basis.
Booking will close on Thursday 11 Jun 2026 and we will be in touch with those who have registered their interest within 14 days.
