It’s Midsummer. In Edinburgh. It’s raining.

Bob and Helena have only just met. She's totally out of his league; he's not her type at all. They absolutely should not sleep together. Which is, of course, why they do.

Building on David Greig and Gordon McIntyre’s 2008 smash hit comedy Midsummer, the National Theatre of Scotland explodes the potential of the original production and places the audience at the heart of the action – in a lost weekend of bridge-burning, boozing and car chases.

With a live band, songs and a large dose of humour, Midsummer takes up residency in The Hub for the 2018 Edinburgh International Festival, transporting the audience on an unforgettable nightly rom-com rollercoaster.
