Ryan Hay

Ryan is an emerging playwright and theatre-maker from Fife and Glasgow. He is in his final year of an English Literature degree at the University of St Andrews, where he has studied playwriting under Zinnie Harris and Oliver Emmanuel. Ryan has also worked as a librettist, and his short opera Hunger was recently staged at ENO’s Lillian Baylis House with Helios Collective. He is the artistic director and co-founder of Wanton Theatre with whom he is currently writing a piece called Botany for the Edinburgh Fringe. His new version of Alfred Jarry’s Ubu Roi is currently in production and will be at St Andrews’ Byre Theatre in April 2018.
