Scott Twynholm is a Scottish composer and musician.
He works in film, dance, theatre and art. Band projects have included Looper, Hoboken and Metrovavan.
A perceptive and subtle story-teller with a focus on melody and sonic texture his work often spans the worlds of contemporary classical and experimental electronic composition.
Recent releases include the Soundtrack to the feature documentary about artist and writer Alasdair Gray and an extended dance work, In the Ink Dark, for choreographer Luke Pell. His band compositions have also appeared in Palme d’Or nominated The Edukators, Cameron Crow’s Vanilla Sky as well as numerous adverts and TV programmes.
Recent film work includes the score for Make Me Up, the first feature film by multi-media artist Rachel Maclean.
Stage credits include The Majority (National Theatre), Our Fathers (Traverse Theatre/Magnetic North), Hedda Gabler and Catch-22 (Northern Stage), and Purposeless Movements (Birds Of Paradise).
