About Nigel Brown
Nigel Brown was born on March 16, 1984 in Aruba. At the age of 15 he moved to Holland with his family.
At the age of 16 he joined the church band and sang almost every Sunday at church. He recorded a demo album at the age of 17 with his best friend and in 2003 he got into a Black Gospel Choir (Inside Out) and sang there 3 years. They performed at tv-shows and had a lot of performances around the country.
In 2007 he participated on the Dutch Idols (4th edition) and ended in the quarter finals on the fourth place. He was also singing a lot in studios as a backing vocalist for tv shows, artists and cover bands. In 2010 he signed up for The Voice of Holland (1st edition) and ended in the quarter finals.
After The Voice of Holland he made his theatre debut in a theatre show where he sang and danced to the R&B songs of the 90’s called R&B 90’s Live, he toured with a song & dance theatre show JEANS for 4 years. In 2014 he was one of the disciples in the Dutch version of The Passion. He made his musical debut in 2016 in Disney’s The Lion King NL as vocal swing and cover Simba. In 2019 he was asked to play ‘Mereb’ in the Dutch version of Aida in Concert. At the moment he is touring in the UK with Disney’s The Lion King UK Rhino Tour as a swing and cover Simba.
