About Nicholas Bone
Nicholas Bone is a director, writer and performer. He trained at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and with SITI in New York. He is Artistic Director of Magnetic North and has directed all its work, including Lost in Music (co-creator with Kim Moore), Our Fathers (co-writer and performer with Rob Drummond), A Walk at the Edge of the World (co-creator with Sans façon & Ian Cameron), Sex & God (Linda McLean), Pass the Spoon (co-creator with David Fennessy & David Shrigley) and Walden (Bone/Thoreau). Other recent directing includes: London Road (Alecky Blythe & Adam Cork), Bristol Old Vic; Osama the Hero (Dennis Kelly), NIDA Sydney; Kora (Tom McGrath), Dundee Rep; Some Other Stars (Clare Duffy), Oran Mor/Traverse; Denton & Me (Sam Rowe), Show Room. Recent cross-art form collaborations include: co-creator Stories from Here (online), Sans façon & Magnetic North, dramaturg Conquest of the Useless (David Fennessy), New Music Dublin. He is a member of the ensemble In the Making, a group of dancers, musicians and performers with whom he regularly performs.
