About Nazli Tabatabai-Khatambakhsh
Nazli Tabatabai-Khatambakhsh was born in Iran and grew up in Scotland, her artistic practice is international spanning interdisciplinary theatre, radio, screen and installation artworks. Her research interests include the chorus and intersectionality, new forms of sociopolitical theatre shifting across borders and the transformative power of culture. She is a multi-award winning auteur, scholar and advisor and held a fellowship for the New York based International Society for the Performing Arts. Nazli Tabatabai-Khatambakhsh is working on a new dark comedy adaptation of Medea and is developing ideas for contemporary opera at the intersection of circus and dance.
