About Michael John O'Neill
Glasgow-based writer and producer Michael John O'Neill has worked with companies including Tron Theatre, Theatre Gu Leòr, National Theatre of Scotland, Tramway, The Arches and Traverse Theatre. He founded the Tron Theatre’s artistic development arm Tron CREATIVE, and as its Artistic Producer commissioned and produced work including Little King’s Greater Belfast, SUPERFAN’s Like Animals, as well as Isobel McArthur’s How to Sing it, Daphne Oram’s Wonderful World of Sound and Pride & Prejudice* (*Sort of). In 2019 Michael became the inaugural recipient of the Bruntwood Prize Original New Voice Award for his play AKEDAH and was selected for a New Playwrights Award by Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland. Michael sits on the board of Theatre Gu Leòr, and is a member of Bectu.
