About Malin Lewis
Malin studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. They are also a member of Bogha Frois, an evolving and important project giving a voice to the LGBT+ community in the world of folk music.

Radio work includes – BBC Radio 4 ‘Eighteen’. BBC Radio 6 Music, Cerys Matthews BBC Radio Scotland, Janice Forsyth Show.
Their work looks to explore their trans identity and perception of purpose and place in the world. As well as performing, Malin composes their own music and has made their own instruments which they perform with.
Last year Malin makes Music released their first book of original music and was a winner of the “In tune with Nature” composing competition run by Scottish Natural Heritage and Feis Rois. They have performed with a range of musicians including Ali Hutton, Ross Ainslie, Finlay MacDonald, Shona Mooney and Innes Watson at festivals including Celtic Connections, PipingLive and Edinburgh Tradfest.
