About Lyndsay Muir
Lyndsay has worked as a professional actor, director and facilitator and her background is in Drama and Education. She has worked in all sectors and phases of education and her professional career began as a drama teacher, working in secondary schools. She currently works as a Senior Lecturer at Bishop Grosseteste University, mainly in the field of Teacher Education, leading on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for the secondary PGCE programme. She is co-author of research on the impact of this element of the secondary programme at BGU.
In addition, Lyndsay has been undertaking PhD research in Professional Practice at Manchester University, which included the development of ‘Tea with Trans’ with NTS and the Adam World Choir at the Participatory Arts Festival in Glasgow 2016.
Lyndsay spoke about the development of this idea, the NTS production of Adam (2017) and foregrounding trans people telling their stories through hosting individual conversations on their own terms in her TEDx talk.
