About Jade Adamson
Jade’s first experience of theatre was attending then performing in pantomimes at Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy as a child. Since graduating in 2005 with BA (Hons) Dance from Edinburgh’s Telford College she has worked as a performer, choreographer, movement director, producer and teacher. Previous National Theatre of Scotland work includes Glasgow Girls, where she was associate choreographer, and she has delivered a number of projects with NTS learn. Other theatre work includes Barrowland Ballet (Jade has been a core dance artist/creative performer with the company since 2007), Grid Iron Theatre Company, Akram Khan with Edinburgh International Festival, Caroline Bowditch Company, Wee Stories, Stillmotion, Vox Motus, David Hughes Dance, Michael Clark Company and Freshmess Dance Company. Film work includes associate artist to Oona Doherty on Fly The Flag for Sky Arts, choreographer for Choir Alba onEurovision Choir of The Year and BBC Alba’s documentary Dannsa. Jade has recently been working with All or Nothing and The Beacon, delivering aerial dance workshops for young people who are neurodivergent and/or have physical disabilities. In 2020, Jade launched a company, We Are Witches, with musician Kim Moore - they have been developing dance and music together and making collaborative films with young people.
