About Indra Wilson
Indra Wilson (She/They) is a queer, working-class performance maker and researcher from Preston, Lancashire. Indra’s artistic practice focuses on women's and queer lives uses queer feminist methodologies to investigate the public health sector, art and activism. Their solo work often uses the tool of comedy to explore further themes of sexism, sexuality, sex, nudity, violence against women, queerness and the male gaze. Because collaboration is at the heart of their understanding of art, Indra often collaborates with communities of marginalised identities who their work will affect. Indra’s main goal as an artist has always been to blur the line between performance making and activism. Collaborating with the third-part sector and charity organisations with performance making.
