Greg McHugh is an award winning writer and actor who has achieved critical acclaim for his performances in both comedic and dramatic roles. He is best known to some as ‘Gary: Tank Commander’ the sitcom he created, wrote and starred in which ran for three seasons plus specials on BBC Scotland. To others, he’s ‘Howard’, the dressing robed ‘oddball’ from one of Channel 4’s most successful comedies, ‘Fresh Meat’. In recent years Greg has explored more dramatic roles including Hamish in ‘A Discovery of Witches’ for Sky, Malcolm in the BAFTA winning film ‘Marvellous’ and most recently as the character of Eddie in The BBC One hit drama ‘The A Word’. Greg has a wealth of theatre and live performance credits - one of which was recently playing the SSE Hydro in Glasgow to ten thousand people a night with the live version of ‘Gary Tank Commander- ‘Mission Quite Possible’ which he also wrote.
