About Garry Boyle
Garry Boyle is a Recording Engineer, Producer and Sound Designer based at Slate Room Recording Studio, Pencaitland. Garry holds a Degree in Popular Music from Napier University, Edinburgh.
Garry’s sound design credits include GRIT: The Martyn Bennet Story, Janis Joplin: Full Tilt (for Pachamama Productions), Glasgow Girls and Beats Per Minute (for RAW Material), Adam and Interference (for National Theatre of Scotland) as well as Sound Supervisor Credits for What Girls are Made Of’ which toured internationally in 2019.
At Eden Court, Garry has sound designed Pantomime since 2016 and always loves his time working in the theatre and team.
In the music world Garry has produced and recorded a wide range of artists including Trio HLK with Dame Evelyn Glennie, Blue Rose Code, Broken Records, The Katet, Beats and Pieces Big Band, Matt Carmichael, The Elephant Sessions, Stanley Odd, Kirsten Adamson, Dean Owens, Katheryn Joseph and The Tinderbox Orchestra amongst many more.
Garry’s film and television credits include the BAFTA 2021 Winning Adam produced by the BBC and Hopskotch Films as Sound Designer and Score Composer, Netflix Epic Outlaw King as on-set playback engineer and PostProduction Pro Tools engineer, Disney Pixar’s Brave for which he recorded the vocals for Julie Fowlis two soundtrack songs and The Evolution of Nate Gibson with composer Paul Leonard-Morgan as Orchestral Score Pro Tools Engineer.
