About Dr Leslie Mabon
Dr Leslie Mabon is a Reader in Environment and Society at Robert Gordon University.
He works on consensus-building for contentious and complex environmental issues, where what is scientifically and technically viable has to be balanced with what is considered socially acceptable. Within this, he is especially interested in processes and techniques which can be used to facilitate dialogue and build consensus between different groups of people.
Leslie's interests include climate change adaptation in cities; and the socio-cultural dimensions of environmental change coastal communities.
As well as Scotland, he has ongoing projects in Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam.
