About Daniella Faakor Damptey
Daniella Faakor Damptey (She/Her) is a Ghanaian-Scottish artist from Glasgow and Accra. She is due to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) in July 2022.
Daniella makes her professional debut as a performer with the National Theatre of Scotland in Orphans - The Musical in 2022.
Daniella is passionate about social justice and anti-racism. At Conservatoire, she is a co-Chair of the Black Union, the Students’ Union Vice President of Drama, Dance, Production and Film and a Cultural Diversity Officer. Daniella is also a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament representing Glasgow Kelvin.
Theatre credits include Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella at The New Athenaeum Theatre.
Film credits include In A Barbie World at the Glasgow Short Film Festival (2022), Hope Springs Eternal with RCS and the Scottish Government and Student Voices with The Anti-Racist Curriculum Project.
Concert credits includes Juneteenth: Black Joy and Liberation with The Alchemy Experiment (2021).
Writing work includes YAA ASANTEWAA: The Musical.
