Andy McGregor is a Scottish playwright, director and composer. He trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the University of Glasgow. National Theatre of Scotland work includes assistant director In Time O’ Strife, Dragon and composer/facilitator for The Tin Forest Southwest/East End. Other work includes Spuds, The Rise and Inevitable Fall of Lucas Petite and Love 2.0 with Sleeping Warrior. Crocodile Rock, Vinyl Idol and Pure Freezin’ for A Play a Pie and a Pint. Primetime at The Royal Court, The Ugly One at The Tron and numerous Christmas shows for wee ones at The Citizens Theatre. His play Influence was commissioned and performed by 6 UK-wide theatres from Dundee Rep to Plymouth Royal. The Snow Queen for Pace. Godspell, The Comedy of Errors, Naughty Cat and the Cheesy Moon, Towards the Moon and Twelfth Night for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Crocodile Rock was presented on BBC Scotland. Andrew received the Playwrights Studio New Playwright award and the John Mather ‘Rising Star’ award, he is a regular visiting lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
