Andy Edwards (b.1990) is a playwright, dramaturg and graduate of the University of Glasgow’s MLitt Playwriting & Dramaturgy programme. Scenes for Survival is Andy’s first work for the National Theatre of Scotland. Andy’s work for stage includes Words Live (Bunbury Banter Theatre Company), In Burrows, ensemble performance Nowhere (Tron Theatre), The Square Mile / Y Filltir Sgwâr (Bunbury Banter Theatre Company) and Scribble (Amy McKenzie), winner of the 2017 Assembly Roxy Theatre Award. His work for galleries includes Let The Music Go On And On And On And On And On And On … (Carrie Skinner); On The Waves Of The Air, There Is Dancing Out There (Carrie Skinner); and Residual Ruin (Generator Projects). Andy was Tron Theatre’s Mayfesto Writer-in-Residence for 2019; a recipient of a 2019 PYROMANIA Bursary with FIRE EXIT; and a 2015 Mentored Playwright with Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland.
