Reasons to Dance
27/03/2012 - 31/03/2012
Reasons to Dance invites audience members to immerse themselves in a world of Falkirk dancing memories from the last 100 years, as a large scale community cast brings stories to life through movement, storytelling and dance. Their performance will be enhanced by City Nightclub’s state-of-the-art video, projection, sound and lighting systems.
Guests will meet a range of characters: the bandleaders and bouncers, the DJs and players, the lovers, the fighters, the weird and the wonderful. On a journey through dance halls, school halls, bedrooms, cloakrooms and beyond, the audience will taste dancing triumph and disaster, learn the unwritten rules and routines of a night out, discover tips on dress, footwear and beauty across different eras, and maybe even pick up a few new moves…
Look out for special competitions and exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak previews on facebook.com/reasonstodance and on Twitter.
Reasons to Dance is suitable for everyone aged 8 years and older, but because there’s a bar onsite, we’re asking anyone who wants to buy anything from the bar to bring proof of age I.D. City Nightclub operates a Challenge 25 policy, meaning that if their friendly stewards think you look under 25, they’ll ask you to prove that you’re over 18. Guests under 18 years are of course welcome, but will be given a different coloured wristband for the evening.
