Futureproof Opening Event

The National Theatre of Scotland is throwing open the doors of Rockvilla for a party like no other in celebration of the young people of Scotland.

Marking Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018 and kicking off the Futureproof festival, the event will feature a line-up of young performers specially curated by the Year of Young People Project Team, a group of 14-26 year olds we have recruited to oversee and influence the festival. The Project Team invite you to step into the future for a night of diverse performances, creative challenges and a glimpse of what the festival will hold. You don’t have to be a young person to attend, but if you are not aged between 14-26 you will have to bring a young person with you to gain entry.

Tickets are by invitation only. If you are aged between 14-26 and would like to receive an invitation to this event, click here to sign up for your Futureproof Passport.

DATE: 28 September
TIME: 5pm – 9pm (last admittance 8pm)

FUTUREPROOF

The launch event will open National Theatre of Scotland’s Futureproof festival marking Scotland’s Year of Young People in 2018. A major new festival of radical performing arts, created by young people working alongside renowned Scottish, British and international theatre practitioners.

Ten companies and artists specialising in daring new work will embed themselves in ten communities around the country, working with local groups of young people to co-create, design, develop and stage a piece of performance. Ten productions will then take place in cities and locations across Scotland as part of the Futureproof festival in September and October 2018.
