Engine Room - September 2018

Our Engine Room programme has our ‘theatre without walls’ ethos at its heart, bringing artists together to develop skills, networks and create new work at the greatest reach of their imaginations and ambitions.

September sees us leave the central belt behind, as we roadtrip up north in partnership with Eden Court, Lyth Arts Centre and Shetland Arts to deliver Ideas and Careers surgeries and playwriting workshops in Inverness, Wick, Orkney and Shetland. And we’re delighted to be heading back to Dumfries to partner again with the Stove on One Day to Play – a paid opportunity for artists to collaborate across art-forms and spark the seed of a brand new idea. Plus we’ll be taking one of our Companies in Residence, Blood of the Young, along for the ride, with Artistic Director Paul Brotherston leading a workshop on their collaborative devising process.
