Engine Room Roadtrip

In September, Engine Room Producer Anna Hodgart, and National Theatre of Scotland Dramaturg Rosie Kellagher, will be on the road, and are keen to meet artists of all backgrounds. Whether you’re a playwright, a theatre maker, a musician, a spoken word artist, or a visual artist with an interest in live performance, we want to meet you!

We are delighted to be collaborating with CABN, Eastgate Theatre, Unit Four – the Cornucopia Rooms and Heart for Duns to bring Engine Room to the Borders.

We are also offering specific opportunities for writers and artists with an interest in working across-art-forms, or visually / physically. We’re thrilled that National Theatre of Scotland’s Artist in Residence, Nic Green, will join us, offering a special workshop exploring her inter-disciplinary practice. Eve Nicol, Director of the upcoming National Theatre of Scotland’s production The Drift, will share her experience working as both a director and playwright, across different art forms.

ABOUT ENGINE ROOM

Our Engine Room programme has our Theatre Without Walls ethos at its heart. We bring artists together to develop skills, networks and create new work at the greatest reach of their imaginations and ambitions.

From July to September, Engine Room will focus on resilience, acknowledging our roots, and the things that keep us grounded and centred, as part of Engine Room: Grounding
