Engine Room: Pilates for Artists

A free pilates session for artists focusing on body wellbeing. This session will be looking at some key techniques and principles to help keep your body healthy as you head into summer festival season. No experience required, beginners welcome.

This session will be led by Rhona Gemmell of Otago Street Pilates. Rhona started Pilates in 1998 with Louise Stearn, and then went on to train as a teacher with Body Control and Gordon Thomson in London in 2007. She holds the Body Control Master Matwork certification, and is a fully qualified equipment teacher, as well as a supervising teacher for Body Control Pilates matwork students and reformer teachers. She teaches at the National Theatre of Scotland, and holds regular back health workshops for the NHS, while also running the Otago Street Pilates studio.
