Engine Room Masterclass: She Put On Her Headphones with Lau

A workshop examining how inspiration can be taken from other art forms. In this workshop we look at how Lau made the track “She Put On Her Headphones”. Originally inspired by a short story, it became a piece of instrumental music and ultimately a song with lyrics.

With this as a focal point we will look at how inspiration from one form can spark something in another; how music can become theatre, visual art can inspire movement etc. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their own ideas from this song, its music or the original story. Lau will provide live underscore. Open to all performance practitioners.
