Engine Room: Ayrshire Arts Gathering

A meet up for anyone interested in performance-focused work in the Ayrshire region. This session will bring together artists, theatre-makers, producers, musicians, poets, and performers of all kinds to build a picture of the diverse and exciting work that exists in Ayrshire. This is a chance to get to know fellow local creatives, share and learn about opportunities in the region, and discuss barriers to access and engagement in the local creative scene. This event will feature an open group discussion facilitated by Ayr Gaiety Creative Learning Coordinator, Robbie Gordon.

This event is supported by COMMON, an outreach organisation supporting the UK theatre industry to achieve greater socio-economic diversity. COMMON’s aim is to make theatre more accessible to the working-class, and those experiencing socio-economic inequality, whether they be artists, audiences, or communities.

The event will be opened by a short performative sharing from the Ayr Gaiety Young Company. After the event, all attendees are invited to join the team at Camerons Bar. Refreshments, as well as travel or expenses support will be provided. Please email engineroom@nationaltheatrescotland.com if you require travel support to attend.
