A collaborator speed-dating session aimed at connecting designers and directors. As spaces are limited and in order to best facilitate this session, there is a short application process to sign up.
Portfolio Surgeries with Stewart Laing, in partnership with the Envelope Room 2.30pm – 4.30pm
A one-on-one 30 minute advice session for a designer and their portfolio with National Theatre of Scotland Associate Director Stewart Laing. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis email firstname.lastname@example.org to book and please include a biography (200 words max) and a note of any access requirements.
Ask a Production Manager, in partnership with the Envelope Room, 5pm – 6pm
An opportunity for designers to pop in and ask any technical questions to National Theatre of Scotland Technical Director and experienced Production Manager Gemma Swallow. No need to book, just turn up.
Ask a Designer, in partnership with the Envelope Room, 11am – 6pm.
Envelope Room Founders and experienced designers Claire Halleran and Lisa Sangster will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions about the Envelope Room and design in Scotland. No need to book, just turn up.
The Envelope Room is an organisation in Scotland supporting and promoting professional theatrical designers. We engage with Set, Costume, Video, Lighting and Puppetry designers. We were founded in 2013 by designers Lisa Sangster and Claire Halleran, over the least 5 years we have created numerous professional development opportunities and hosted various events from our frequent Meet the Designer events to a mini festival for emerging designers.
