A Mile In My Shoes

Empathy Museum (UK) are bringing their international touring hit A Mile in My Shoes to Scotland. Located at sites in Forres and Elgin and housed in a giant shoebox, this exhibit holds a diverse collection of shoes and audio stories that explore our shared humanity. Visitors will be invited to walk a mile in the shoes of a young local stranger whilst listening to their story. Each story will last approximately 10 minutes.

Tickets for A Mile In My Shoes will be available on the door. Tickets are £1.

Open from 11am to 4pm.

FUTUREPROOF

A Mile in My Shoes is part of National Theatre of Scotland’s Futureproof festival marking Scotland’s Year of Young People in 2018. A major radical new festival of international performing arts, created by young people working alongside renowned Scottish, British and international theatre practitioners.

Ten companies and artists specialising in daring new work will embed themselves in ten communities around the country, working with local groups of young people to co-create, design, develop and stage a piece of performance. Ten productions will then take place in cities and locations across Scotland as part of the Futureproof festival in September and October 2018.
