Paul McKelvie OBE
Paul held senior positions within the private sector having served as Director of ScottishPower Learning and then as ScottishPower’s Group Corporate Responsibility Director between 2000 and 2007. In 2005 he was awarded an OBE for services to Lifelong Learning in Scotland.
Since leaving ScottishPower in 2007, Paul’s roles have had a particular focus on learning and skills. He has served on the Board of the Scottish Funding Council, where he was Vice-Chair, and he remains a Board Member at Skills Development Scotland. In April 2012, Paul was appointed as Scotland Commissioner to the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.
In his spare time, Paul is a brass band conductor.
