What To Expect At CCA
This information is to help prepare you for attending NEUROSTAGES in person at the CCA, and to know what to expect on the day.
When you arrive at the CCA you will see the NEUROSTAGES welcome desk in the foyer, next to the box office. A member of the NEUROSTAGES or CCA front of house team will welcome you.
They will give you a schedule and let you know where all the facilities are around the CCA.
They will also let you know what sessions that day have limited capacities and require you to sign up. Spaces for these sessions will be given to the people who sign up first until the events are full.
You can sign up between 9.30am – 10.00am for morning sessions and 1.30pm - 2.30pm for afternoon sessions
Stickers are available at the Festival Welcome Desk in the foyer at the CCA. We are using a traffic light system to help us respect each other’s boundaries:
GREEN = happy to meet and engage with people including new people
AMBER = please only approach me if we already know each other or if it’s important
RED = please don’t try and interact with me right now
Break Out Spaces
NEURO HUB – CCA Creative Lab
We have a dedicated NEUROHUB in the Creative Lab for moving, meeting and sensory-seeking expression.
CHILL OUT SPACE – CCA Clubroom
We have a dedicated chillout space in the Clubroom. This is a calm space to rest and relax, not a sociable space.
There will be two Support Workers present in person at the festival on hand for audiences and artists They will be introduced and identified at the start of each day and will be wearing NTS t-shirts. CCA Front of House staff are also on hand to help, and will be identifiable by their CCA lanyards
We have 5 sensory bags, including ear defenders, sunglasses and a stim toy, that can be signed out for the day at the Festival Welcome desk in the CCA Foyer. Huge thanks to Birds of Paradise Theatre Company for lending us these!
