SHIFT: Audio Stories
In late 2017, artists from the National Theatre of Scotland travelled across North Lanarkshire to hear stories about work from the local community. Huddled in supermarket car parks, they heard heart-warming and often hilarious stories from people whose work had taken them across the globe and just around the corner. From Carol, the intrepid bus driver, taking her passengers across the Sydney Harbour Bridge watching the Opera House spring to life to Margaret, the nurse, who had a surprise, uproarious encounter during a bed bath, these stories create an eclectic portrait of a community hard at work but having fun along the way.
The clips below are first in a short series of these stories.
