Cuiribh Taic Ri Ar N-Obair Ann An Gaidhlig

Is i Theatar Nàiseanta na h-Alba a’ chiad chompanaidh de Ealain Coileanaidh Nàiseanta na h-Alba a tha air Prògram Leasachaidh Dràma Gàidhlig a stèidheachadh a dh’aon ghnothaich airson conaltradh le luchd-ealain Ghàidhlig,

gus obair a chruthachadh agus cuideachadh le poileasaidh a chumadh airson bun-structar

a thogail do dhràma Gàidhlig ann an Alba.

Tron ro-innleachd seo, tha sinn air trì Co- phàirtichean Ealain Gàidhlig fhastadh gu ruige seo agus air conaltradh ri diofar luchd-ùidh bho air feadh na coimhearsnachd Ghàidhlig.

Is e ar miann cothroman a chruthachadh airson na Gàidhlig ’s a cultar a rannsachadh agus a chomharrachadh tro dhràma phroifeiseanta.

Tha sinn an dòchas seo a dhèanamh le bhith a’ cruthachadh riochdachaidhean ùra a bhios a’ togail air tàlantan an luchd-ealain Ghàidhlig a th’ ann cheana tarsainn gach cruth ealain, luchd-theatar Gàidhlig a tha a’ tighinn am bàrr oideachadh agus a chuideachadh agus luchd-èisteachd a thogail a bhios air am brosnachadh leis na cothroman ann an dràma Gàidhlig.

Tha sinn dìreach aig toiseach ar cuairt ach bheir antaic bhuaibhse cothrom dhuinn seo a choileanadh agus a thuilleadh.

Support our Gaelic programme

The National Theatre of Scotland is the first of Scotland’s National Performing Arts companies to have a dedicated Gaelic Drama Development Programme for engaging with Gaelic artists, to create work and help shape policy to build an infrastructure for Gaelic theatre in Scotland.

Through this strategy we have employed three Gaelic Associate Artists to date and engaged with numerous stakeholders from throughout the Gaelic-speaking community.

Our ambition is to create opportunities for Gaelic language and culture to be explored and celebrated through professional drama.

We hope to do this by creating new productions that engage the talents of existing Gaelic artists, from across art forms, nurture and support emerging Gaelic theatre-makers and build an audience excited by the possibilities of Gaelic drama.

We’re just at the beginning of this journey, but your support will help us to achieve this and more.
