Red Dust Road: Touring Wig and Make Up Technician

We are seeking to employ a Touring Wig and Make Up Technician who will to work as part of a team and be responsible for the wigs and make up on the tour of Red Dust Road. Experience of working backstage on touring theatre is an advantage. The technician should have experience of working with real and synthetic hair wigs and afro-textured hair. This exciting role will suit someone with proven experience with the ability to be thorough and accurate in all aspects of their work.


Wage: £532.38 per week, with overtime & allowances in line with NTS Technicians’ Agreement
Status: Fixed term from 29th July to 22nd September 2019

Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Place of work: Based in National Theatre of Scotland’s offices, Rockvilla, 125 Craighall Road, Glasgow, G4 9TL, and then touring to Beacon Arts Centre (Greenock), Edinburgh International Festival,  Macrobert Art Centre (Stirling) and Eden Court Theatre (Inverness).
