As Shelly threw her nurses uniform and Glow Worm into her red vanity case and ran down the close stairs, many thoughts ran through her five year old head. Do real monkeys bite? Where do I catch the bus to London? Why are we even called the F-Troupe and who is this Eileen we're always singing about? 

Discover why the Pope's visit to Glasgow in June 1982 led to me, aged 5, leaving home and running away to London . . . well, almost.
