This Resource Pack contains information on the recent National Theatre of Scotland production of Rona Munro’s adaptation of The House of Bernarda Alba.

The pack also includes an introduction by Rona Munro, an interview with John Tiffany, a feature on Federico García Lorca, a plot synopsis and a practical lesson plan.

The tasks included in the lesson plan are suitable for Higher and Advanced Higher students and use theatre conventions to explore the text and encourage pupils to devise their own work.

We would suggest that you contact the SQA directly to confirm the suitability of Rona Munro’s adaptation as a set text for Higher pupils.
